Back in the Saddle...

After a very looonnnggg trip back to Missouri, I am back in the office. We endured mechanical breakdowns, a U-Haul rental, towing, repairs, and a 2 person truck cab packed with 2 adults and 2 large border collies. Cozy to say the least!

BILL RIGHT has been nominated for two awards to be presented at the 2010 Cuba Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet. We have been nominated for the:


Entrepreneur Award - The Entrepreneur Award is presented each year to a Chamber member who has demonstrated true enterprising spirit in the creation or retention of jobs in the Cuba area.


Rookie of the Year Award - The Rookie of the Year Award is presented each year to a Chamber member business owner that began operating a business in Cuba during the period of January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009. The new venture provides employment for several local residents and may introduce new industry to Cuba.


It is quite an honor to be recognized by our business peers! Wish us luck at the awards ceremony.

April Update

Sunny weather and warm temperatures have arrived. We head back to Cuba on April 12th and will be in the office on the 18th. This month we will unveil our new redesigned website, thanks to our friend and webmaster expert Todd Machiela of machiela.org.

We will also launch our new online service called "Online Advocate". My next blog post will provide details on this exciting option for those consumers who need medical bill help and assistance.

Also, we are busy organizing the Cuba Community Health Fair scheduled for Saturday, May 8th at the Resource Center from 9am - 3pm.
